Living Incurably on a Budget, Part V – or – How I made this damn classy indoor clothesline

Thank you Pinterest for the idea.  Twine and pack of clothespins both available at the Dollar Tree.  (Links lead to former posts of mine on both Pinterest and the Dollar Tree.)  I hung the line from two screw in-hooks I found in the basement and painted the clothespins with leftover paint (also found in the basement) originally used in sponge painting this wall.  I’m thinking I’ll also hang a line downstairs for Christmas cards, etc.

Tips: I ran the twine back and forth so it was twice strong.  I also finagled it as tight as I could because once the scarves got on there it wasn’t so pretty droopy.  If your wall is sheetrock you’ll want to use wall anchors; if that intimidates you, find a pretty place to hang it where you can screw the hooks into solid wood (like trim, window frames, door frames, etc.)
